America's Number 1 Teenage Model #2 ('Teen - December 1964)

I've been told by someone who knew Colleen during her modeling years that she never dated. Apparently that's not entirely true. College boys "in their twenties" seems to have been the ideal for teen girls at that time, and a top model like 17-year-old Colleen certainly had the looks and status to attract such dates. Colleen's first marriage did in fact occur when she was about the age of 23. It did not last, however. Colleen did have children during her second marriage, but still attempted to continue modeling. She gave up modeling entirely only after her second child was born. Colleen actually met George Maharis, just one of the many perks of being a top model. I can't say much for Colleen's diet. It sounds like she wasn't actually trying to be excessively thin, or at least it didn't take much effort for her to be so. Colleen's "21 day trip to Hawaii and Japan" was for Seventeen magazine. The photos from that trip appear in the April 1964 issue.
